NUMANTINU RED GRAPE LIQUEUR

A tribute to a local tradition from the time when compulsory schooling was the old 4th grade. The story goes that mothers whose children passed the school year proudly distributed a homemade liqueur made from water, brandy, cinnamon and toasted sugar in a jug on the streets as a way of celebrating the completion of their studies.

This liqueur is a true classic of the Freixo de Numão Cooperative. Its preparation - still done by hand - has earned it countless medals over time, which rightly reward its natural and particular qualities, good color, full-bodied taste, intense aroma and exotic flavor. Red or white; still, chilled and with ice, the versatility of this nectar of the gods has no limits, since chefs today mix it into dishes and desserts that will leave you wanting more.
