MONTE D'ATALAYA RED WINE

The 2024 Monte D'Atalaya Selected Harvest is the first wine made exclusively from grapes grown on this estate in Moura. The grapes come from only 3 hectares selected from 50, guaranteeing lower production but superior quality. The label represents the medieval watchtower built on the estate, which served as a lookout tower to protect the borders of the Kingdom of Portugal.

HARVEST YEAR:

The year 2024 had a mild and rainy climate. Winter and spring saw above-normal rainfall and humidity, followed by a summer with milder temperatures. As a result of all these factors, ripening was delayed on the vine. This slow ripening allowed for the development of remarkable freshness and balance, resulting in a wine with a lighter, more elegant, fresh profile and fine tannins.
