The Nature of each soil. Herdade do Peso Parcelas reflects a selected part of the Peso each year. The high knowledge of each planted vineyard makes it possible to identify the plots that nature has bestowed most in each season. An authentic and pure result of the soil vinified with minimal intervention. It is the result of a passion that can only be experienced when stepping on the land, caring for the grapes, treating the winery as our home.

TASTING NOTES YEAR 2022
Good concentration of almost opaque color. The nose reveals notes of blueberry, violet and light menthol. In the mouth it is a
lively wine, extremely rich in firm tannins and with excellent attack. It is robust and very persistent.

VARIETIES
Alicante Bouschet (50%); Petit Verdot (50%).

VINIFICATION
Grapes from batch 21 of Alicante Bouschet and batch 101 of Petit verdot. These proved to be the
best plots and each one required different attention during the vegetative cycle to obtain the best grapes
quality. After de-stemming, the berries are chosen manually and gently crushed. THE
Fermentation takes place in frustum-conical vats at 28ºC, after maceration which takes place at 10ºC for 3 days.

MATURATION
After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in 3,000 liter French oak barrels for 12 months. THE
final blend is made only from the best woods and is aged in the bottle at a temperature
controlled temperature of 15ºC.

SAVE
Bottle horizontally. Despite being ready for consumption, it has a long aging potential and evolves well in the bottle.
Optimal consumption time from 8-10 years after harvest date (on the label).

SERVE
Serve straight from the original bottle. Recommended temperature: 16ºC to 18ºC. Consume within 24 hours after
opening.

ENJOY
Ideal to accompany spicy meat dishes, game and intense cheeses.
