Made from grapes from the old vineyards of Quinta do Crasto, with an average age of approximately 70 years, Quinta do Crasto Reserva Old Vines is an authentic blend of the best that Douro has to give, and is highly recognized nationally and internationally for its excellent quality/price ratio along with the significant number of bottles available in the market.

Quinta do Crasto has 40 hectares of old vineyards, in a total of 42 vineyard parcels, the most emblematic and well-known of which are Vinha da Ponte and Vinha Maria Teresa, in which dozens of different varieties can be found. The average production per hectare of an old vineyard is 3.000 litres, however, it varies from year to year, depending on the quality demands required by the Oenology team to produce the different wines that use the production of the old vineyards and in which the "monovinha" wines are included. Given these production restrictions, the quantity of bottles of Quinta do Crasto Reserva Old Vines varies significantly but is between 80,000 and 90,000 bottles produced annually.

Quinta do Crasto Reserva Vinhas Velhas has a great complexity and concentration, resulting from the low yields characteristic of old vines combined with its 18 months aging in French and American oak barrels at controlled temperature in the Quinta do Crasto barrel cellar.

Quinta do Crasto Reserva Old Vines has a complex aroma, with fruit and wood very well integrated, revealing spicy notes. In the mouth, it is intense and deep, well balanced by a firm tannin structure and a long and persistent finish. Ideal to accompany strong meat or game dishes. Bottled unfiltered it may create deposit during its ageing in bottle.
