Old Vines - mixture of more than 50 varieties (already identified).

VINIFICATION
The grapes from the Maria Teresa vineyard were transported in boxes of 22 kg capacity and subjected to strict sorting at the winery entrance. After a total destemming and treading in a traditional press, the must was transferred to stainless steel fermentation tanks with controlled temperature. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation, a gentle pressing was carried out.

AGING
Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa was aged in 100% new oak barrels, 90% French oak 10% American oak, where it remained for about 20 months. The final lot results from the best selection of barrels.
TASTING NOTE
Ruby coloured, it impresses on the nose for its extraordinary freshness and complexity, where
we can get lost between fresh forest aromas, berries, and floral notes. In the mouth
presents an elegant beginning, evolving into a wine of excellent volume and solid structure, where
we find fine texture tannins very well integrated with excellent retronasal notes that
...they recall fresh aromas of cistus and wild fruit. It ends in perfect balance and very persistent. A genuine wine, with its own identity that reflects the purity and complexity of Vinha Maria
Teresa.
