QUINTA DO CRASTO SUPERIOR RED

As the name suggests, the Crasto Superior Tinto is made with grapes from the Upper Douro region, our property under the name of Quinta da Cabreira, located near Castelo Melhor and where we planted 114 hectares of vineyards in recent years.

Grapes
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Souzão

Vinification
The grapes, from our Quinta da Cabreira, in the Upper Douro, were transported in plastic food boxes and subjected to a rigorous screening at the entrance of the winery. After a total destemming and a
light crushing the must was transferred to temperature controlled stainless steel fermentation tanks.

Aging
Crasto Superior interned in French oak barrels, where he stayed for about 12 months.

Tasting Note
With a loaded violet colour, the fresh aromas of wild berries from the Douro stand out in the nose, very well integrated with soft notes of spice. It begins the tasting in a harmonious way, evolving to
a wine of great volume and compact structure, composed of tannins of dense texture. It ends with
great elegance, freshness and persistence.
