George Blackett, originally from the city of Leeds settled in Porto in the nineteenth century as Port Wine merchant. Its positioning within the sector allowed him a remarkable progression ranks in the Top Five of the biggest traders of the century according to the imposition of wine books (municipal File Porto).
The Blacket port wines result from stocking top quality wines aged in casks with different ages in this case 10 years.
In wine 10 years we find ripe fruit nuances, freshness, some complexity and a long finish.
Produced from red grapes varieties of touriga nacional, tinta roriz, tinta barroca and touriga franca. Resulted from the allotement of top quality port wine aged in casks with an average age of 10 years. Tawny wine with a dried fruit aroma, nuances of ripe fruit and vanilla. Complex, fresh and with a pleasant and long end.
