QUINTA DO NOVAL PETIT VERDOT 2021 RED

Petit Verdot is a superior variety with a strong individual personality and enormous quality potential. It is best known for its presence in small proportions in the batches of great Médoc wines. It needs sun and heat to fully mature, and has adapted extremely well to the Douro, producing a unique varietal wine with exuberant character and individuality.

TASTING NOTES:
In general, we can say that the average quality of the wines produced is quite good. Dry reds have a deeply concentrated color, moderate alcohol content, good structure and lively acidity.

VINIFICATION:
This wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks for 8 days, where malolactic fermentation is then carried out.

VARIETIES:
This wine is made entirely with Petit Verdot, from the Quinta do Noval vineyards, in the heart of the Douro.

AGING:
The wine is aged in 225 liter French oak barrels for 12 months, 40% in new barrels.
